Day 01 : Arrival in Bangalore : Today on your arrival you will be welcome by our representative after introduction of your driver you will transfer to hotel after small refreshment you can proceed for Bangalore sightseeing visit famous Lalbagh Garden it is a beautiful garden located with 240 acres land scapes, it houses a splendid collection of about 1,800 species of tropical, subtropical and medicinal plants brought from Persia, Afghanistan and France.
Hyder Ali's son, Tipu Sultan, added to the beauty of the garden by publicizing his wish to receive much-sought-after species of plants from visiting dignitaries, then visit Tippu palace, Tipu Sultan's Summer Palace was the summer residence of Tipu Sultan till his death in the year 1799 during the Fourth Anglo-Mysore War, later proceed to Bangalore Airport to board to your flight for your onwards journey with full of sweet memories. In the evening you can visit Iskcon & Bull Temple later return back to hotel and overnight stay at Bangalore.
Day 02 : Bangalore / Srirangapattinam / Mysore : Today morning finish your breakfast you can start drive to Mysore once of the beautiful city in Karnataka, which is a majestic, mysterious and mesmerizing city. It has inherited all Indian traditions with modernity. Enroute you can visit Srirangapattinam Tippu Summer Palace, this is an island in the river Kaveri, about 14kms from Mysore.
In Srirangapatna is the Dariya Daulat Palace (Summer Palace) that is set amidst beautiful gardens called Daria Daulat Bagh. Tippu Sultan popularly known as the 'Tiger of Mysore', built this palace in 1784 and ruled Mysore from here for a short time after his father Hyder Ali wrested power from the Wodeyars in the middle of the 18th century. The palace is built in the Indo-Saracenic style, mostly made of teakwood.
The palace has a rectangular plan and is built on a raised platform. The most stunning feature of the palace is that all the space available on the walls, pillars, canopies and arches have colorful frescoes. The outer walls of the palace have frescoes of the battle scenes and portraits. The inner walls are decorated with scrolls of thin foliage and floral patterns. The wooden ceilings of the palace are pasted with canvas painted with floral patterns. After continue drive to Mysore on arrival check in to the hotel and stay overnight at Mysore.
Day 03 : Mysore sightseeing & Somnathpur visit : Morning done your breakfast you can proceed for Mysore City Tour visit famous Mysore palace, the architectural style of the palace is commonly described as Indo-Saracenic, and blends together Hindu, Muslim, Rajput, and Gothic styles of architecture. It is a three-storied stone structure, with marble domes and a 145 feet five-storied tower.
The palace is surrounded by a large garden. Palace was designed by Henry Irwin, the British consultant architect of Madras State, and completed in 1912 on the site of the old wooden palace that was destroyed by fire in 1897, It is the official residence of the Woodeyars - the erstwhile royal family of Mysore, and also houses two durbar halls (ceremonial meeting hall of the royal court).
The majestic Durbar Hall with its ornate ceiling and sculpted pillars, and the Marriage Pavilion with its chandeliers, cast-iron pillars, and Belgian stained glass arranged in peacock designs on the domed ceilings, are the main attractions, Later you can proceed for Somnathpur to visit the famous Chennakesava Temple located 35Kms from Mysore the exquisitely carved, star- shaped temple with triple towers is one of the finest examples of Hoysala Architecture, after visiting the temple drive back to Mysore. Day 04 : Mysore / Hassan : Today morning had your breakfast if you are interest you can just walk around the Devaraja Market visit later you can proceed to Hassan. On arrival check in to the hotel and rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay at Hassan.
Day 05 : Hassan / Belur & Halebid / Hassan : Morning finish breakfast you can start drive to Belur visit Chennakesawa temple (built by Hoysala King) this temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu this is UNESCO Monument which has beautiful carvings in and around the temples, which express the beauty of the ancient culture, all the carvings are made by using Soap stones, later start drive to Halebid you can see a famous monument Hoyasleswara Temple dedicated to Lord shiva, it was amazing to hear the history of the temple, Each sculpture in the temple carved with a theme, overnight stay at hotel.
Day 06 : Hassan / Bangalore to Cochin : Morning had your breakfast you can proceed to Bangalore airport to board your onward flight to Cochin. At the time of arrival our representative will welcome you at Cochin airport you will transfer to hotel and rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay at Chennai.
Day 07 : Cochin / Alleppey : Today early morning had your breakfast you can proceed for short seeing in Cochin visit St. Francis' Church, built in the year 1503 by Portuguese Franciscan Friars & known to be the oldest European church in India. It was restored in the year 1779 by the protestant Dutch, converted to an Anglican Church by the British in 1795.
Vasco da Gama's remains were buried here in 1524 & later moved to Lisbon, Portugal, then visit Dutch Palace, originally built by the Portuguese. Later in 17th century they modified it & presented it to the Raja (King) of Kochi (Cochin). The Palace has a fine collection of mural paintings depicting scenes from Hindu epics, Mahabharata & Ramayana, and then visit Chinese fishing nets, (Cheenavala) are distinctly unique to Cochin.
Later you proceed to Alleppey the most popular backwater destination in Kerala; up on arrival board the houseboat locally called Kettuvallam, and cruise around beautiful Vembanad lake, This lake offers an enchanting experience to the tourists. The lake is the best picnic spot, where you can relax your mind and body. While the water gives the place a cooling effect, trees and shrubs act as a respite to the parched eyes.
During the journey you can see ancient temples, churches, paddy fields and watch the day to day activities of the local people who live nearby. Your crew members will serve delicious Kerala food on board and will take good care of you. Day 08 : Alleppey / Periyar : Disembark the houseboat @ 09:00 AM and drive to Periyar, the popular wild life region in Kerala. Periyar is a place to cruise on the lake & gives an opportunity to see wildlife. It is home to tigers, leopards, elephants, bison, antelopes, sambhar, wild boar, monkey, a wide variety of birds, up on arrival check in to the hotel and after small refreshment you can proceed for Spice Plantation Tour (optional) where you can see variety of spices grown in Periyar. In the evening you can witness the Kalaripayattu show (optional), the traditional and gallant show of Kerala, Overnight stay at Hotel.
Day 09 : Periyar / Madurai : Morning had your breakfast you can proceed to Madurai; it’s one of oldest city in India. Upon arrival check in to the hotel. In the evening you experience the Food Safari at Madurai (optional), you will be taken to the different food outlets inside the city but not to the regular restaurants, to take one particular dish in every outlet which is special and authentic in that area. Later return back to hotel and overnight stay at Madurai.
Day 10 : Madurai : Morning post you breakfast and proceed for city tour of Madurai visit famous Madurai Meenakshi Amman Temple, later visit Thirumalainayak Palace – This palace is built by king Thirumalai Nayak , who was one of the Nayak ruler, later visit Gandhi Museum - This museum was built to honor our Father of nation, Gandhi JI. It gives a detailed history about his freedom struggle after visiting return back to the hotel and in the evening you watch Night Ceremony held at Meenakshiamman temple, later return back to hotel and overnight stay at Madurai
Day 11: Madurai / Kanyakumari / Kovalam : Today early morning finish your breakfast you can proceed to Kanyakumari, Which is one of famous costal region in Tamilnadu. After reaching Kanyakumari you can visit famous Vivekananda Rock Memorial, it is a grand memorial to the great Indian philosopher Swami Vivekananda. It is just 200 meters away from the shore. There is a meditation hall; Ferry services are available to reach the memorial. Later visit Thiruvalluvar statue – is the immortal poet of Tamilnadu. He has given the world the so called poem Thirukkural. The statue, standing amid the dancing blue waves, creates a lasting impression as it rises high over the rock. The 133 feet high (including the pedestal) signifying the 133 chapters of the Thirukkural. After sightseeing continue drive to Kovalam. On arrival check in to the hotel and overnight stay at Kovalam.
Day 12 : Kovalam : Today day is free you can spend your time by relaxing at the beach and stay overnight in Hotel
