Mollem is the largest and one among the four protected forest reserves in Goa. Hence, it is wildly preferred. Owing to less human exploitation, the number of jungle cats, giant squirrels, spotted deer, pythons, gaurs and other species makes hiking in this park entertaining. Even though they are shy and hard to find, the best time to spot these creatures of the wild is during early mornings or late in the evening. Hiking along these dense forest is rather a refreshing activity as a number of creeks flow through the forest making it a wonderful trail for hiking. You can also reach the Dudhsagar falls during your hike. This becomes the best part of hiking in these woods. Enjoy the beauty of the pristine forests with the occasional sound of running water which gets etched in your memory.
